How to access the Community

Some Citizens Academy courses may include access to a community area.

The community is a space where learners can connect, ask questions, share ideas and take part in discussions.

Finding the community

After logging in, look for the menu option Community.

Your community space may also be linked from inside your course.

If you cannot see a community, it may mean that your course does not include one, or that you have not yet been given access.

Using the community

In the community, you may be able to:

  • Read posts from Citizens Academy
  • Reply to discussions
  • Ask questions
  • Share your thoughts
  • Connect with other learners
  • Receive updates about your course

Taking part respectfully

The community works best when everyone feels welcome and respected.

Please remember to:

  • Be polite and supportive
  • Respect other people’s views
  • Avoid sharing private personal information
  • Keep discussions relevant to the course or topic
  • Ask for help if you are unsure

Asking questions

If you have a question, check whether someone has already asked something similar.

If not, you can start a new post or reply in the relevant discussion area.

Try to make your question clear so others can understand what help you need.

Key message

The community is a shared learning space. Use it to ask questions, join discussions and feel part of Citizens Academy.
