How to create your account and log in

Welcome to Citizens Academy.

Before you can start learning, you need to create your account and log in. Your account gives you access to your courses, learning materials, community spaces and any updates from Citizens Academy.

Creating your account

When you first join Citizens Academy, you may be asked to create an account. This usually means entering your name, email address and creating a password.

Please use an email address you can access easily. This is important because Citizens Academy may send you confirmation emails, course information and password reset links.

When choosing a password, pick something secure that you can remember. Try not to use a password that you use for lots of other websites.

Logging in

Once your account has been created, you can return to the Citizens Academy website and select "Sign In" or "Log In".

Enter the email address and password you used when creating your account.

After logging in, you should be taken to your learning area, where you can find your courses and other resources.

If you cannot log in

Do not worry if you cannot log in straight away. First, check that:

  • You are using the correct email address
  • Your password has been typed correctly
  • There are no extra spaces before or after your email address
  • You have completed the account set-up process

If you still cannot log in, use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page or contact Citizens Academy for help.
